Partners Chris and Boyd bring uniquely diverse talents to this modern personal care brand. Chris first discovered his passion for developing men’s grooming products over five years ago when he worked for a well-known men’s grooming brand while at the same time, experimenting and perfecting wet shave products in his basement. His excitement grew when in 2017, he met Boyd, owner of The Simple Man, a modern men’s mercantile in Omaha, NE.
Known for being a local connoisseur in both wet shaving and beard care, Boyd always had a desire to create a brand of products that met the needs of his customer base, his own unique preferences, and one that "told a good story"!
After hours of discussion, the two decided to continue sharing ideas on the future of this niche market and shortly after, decided to partner in the Spring of 2018.
Each of the fragrances is a "nod" to famous men in history. The aromas take their inspiration from each gentleman’s namesake and are intended to honor the unique accomplishments of pioneering men in history. In addition, each fragrance is numbered to reflect and coincide with that man’s unique mark.
This love for scent, without the ability to experience it in the usual way, ignited a passion within Samira to create a fragrance brand that transcends mere scent. House of Iyrah is an exploration of how fragrance can be more than just a sensory experience. It’s about the feelings, memories, and stories that scents can tell, not only through what they smell like, but through what they evoke in us.
