Cécilia Mergui - Creative Director

In 1935, Robert Bienaimé, a visionary French perfumer trained under the legendary Paul Parquet at Houbigant, founded his own house — a tribute to timeless elegance and the art of French perfumery. His creations blended chemistry and poetry, giving rise to luminous scents like Éveil and Vermeil, all dressed in exquisite Art Déco design.

Nearly a century later, Cécilia Mergui, a Parisian creative with a background in design and a deep reverence for craftsmanship, rediscovered Bienaimé’s archives and breathed new life into the house. Guided by her passion for authenticity and beauty, she revived the brand with modern refinement while preserving its soul — the devotion to artistry, emotion, and French savoir-faire that made Bienaimé a name of enduring grace.

Today, Bienaimé 1935 stands as both a revival and a renaissance — where history and modernity meet in bottles that celebrate the eternal allure of Parisian perfume.
