Curated with long summer days, coastal breezes, sun-warmed skin, and the carefree spirit of the season.
June is when summer truly arrives. The days feel endless, windows stay open a little longer, and fragrance becomes part of every adventure, whether that's a weekend by the water, a garden brunch, a road trip, or a quiet evening watching the sunset. For this month's Discovery Set, we selected six fragrances that capture different sides of summer: salty coastlines, citrus groves, blooming gardens, fresh-cut fields, and sunlit afternoons.
Wavechild — Room 1015
A joyful celebration of summer nostalgia. Bright orange, mandarin, and lemon burst open with juicy watermelon and creamy coconut, creating a scent that feels like beach days, surfboards, and endless sunshine. Amber woods, cocoa, and ambergris add warmth and depth beneath the playful opening. Fun, uplifting, and impossible not to smile while wearing.
Liberty Maze — Liberty London
Fresh, green, and beautifully refined. Bergamot and Earl Grey tea create an elegant opening before giving way to neroli, jasmine, honeysuckle, and primrose. Silver birch and hawthorn add a soft woodland touch that feels both sophisticated and effortless. Like wandering through a hidden garden in full bloom on a warm summer morning.
A Grove by the Sea — Arquiste
One of the most transportive fragrances we've encountered. Inspired by the Adriatic coastline, it combines sun-drenched fig leaves, black olive, fleur de sel, and Croatian clementine with aromatic thyme, rosemary, Mediterranean pine, and cypress. The result is salty, green, aromatic, and utterly captivating. A summer escape bottled.
Printemps Blanc — Maison Mataha
Radiant, creamy, and effortlessly elegant. Sparkling grapefruit brightens a bouquet of jasmine sambac and orange blossom before melting into soft sandalwood, white tea, and vanilla. Airy enough for the hottest days while maintaining a beautiful richness that lingers on the skin. A perfect balance of freshness and comfort.
Pacific Rock Moss — Goldfield & Banks
One of the most requested warm-weather fragrances at The Scented Cottage. Marine notes and vibrant citrus create an immediate sense of open air and ocean spray, while soft woods and musk provide a clean, lasting foundation. Fresh, versatile, and endlessly wearable, this is summer by the sea in its purest form.
Macanudo — Maison Detto
A unique and surprisingly addictive green fragrance. Fresh-cut grass, bergamot, hay, jonquille, and wet earth create a landscape that feels alive and sunlit. Haitian vetiver and tonka bean add warmth and texture, giving the fragrance depth without sacrificing its natural freshness. Like walking through a countryside meadow after a summer rain.

Excellent experience, meeting Jessi & the rest of the beautiful staff/family was priceless!! There are sooo many fragrances to explore..I felt like a kid in a candy store, & the fact I live less than 30 mins away makes it even more SPECIAL & dangerous..LOL!! This place is a must visit spot..The Scented Cottage is beyond charming, & well worth a visit, whether you are a “frag head” or not, you will be AMAZEDDDD by all the gems you will find! My mom and I came by for an appointment, and the all the ladies that work there are so wonderful and helped us pick out amazing perfumes. We really enjoyed our shopping experience, and they had an huge collection of niche perfume brands. Was so excited to see more of these kinds of fragrances in our area to check out in person! This place is a gold mine! What a luxury to have close. The owner and perfume founder was very knowledgeable with her recommendations and gave us history on the brands. Her fragrance brand Elysian had amazing unique depth and I ended up choosing one to take home. This place is a must smell!
