Parfums Quartana

Founded by Joseph Quartana, Parfums Quartana grew from his decades-long career at the intersection of fashion, art, music, and fragrance. Before creating his own perfume house, Joseph founded the influential avant-garde boutique Seven New York and later created SixScents Parfums in 2008, pairing visionary fashion designers with accomplished perfumers to translate their creative worlds into scent.

Parfums Quartana became the place where Joseph moved from curator to author, creating fragrance worlds entirely shaped by his own vision. Its debut collection, Les Potions Fatales, explored poisonous flowers through dark, seductive compositions, while later collections move into themes of vitality, healing, tarot, ritual, and transformation. Joseph serves as founder and creative director, collaborating with perfumers to translate these concepts into fragrance.

Every element is treated as part of the artwork, from the perfume and its name to the bottle, imagery, sound, symbolism, and ritual surrounding it. The house has also earned major recognition, including The Fragrance Foundation’s Perfume Extraordinaire Award for Poppy Soma and an Art and Olfaction Award for Ierofante. At its core, Parfums Quartana is fragrance for people who want perfume to create an entire atmosphere, not merely smell pretty.
