Maison Violet

Founded in Paris in 1827 by François-Étienne Violet, Maison Violet quickly became one of the great perfume houses of its time, earning royal recognition and serving prestigious clients such as Empress Eugénie and Queen Isabella II of Spain. Known for innovation, craftsmanship, and refined compositions, the house stood among the leading names in French perfumery during the 19th century.

After decades of success, historical events—including wars and economic crises—led to the brand’s disappearance around the mid-20th century, leaving behind only traces of its once remarkable legacy.

That story took a new turn in 2017, when three young perfumers—Anthony Toulemonde, Paul Richardot, and Victorien Sirot—discovered the forgotten house while studying in Paris. Drawn to its history and poetic identity, they chose not to create something new, but to revive Maison Violet, honoring its past while reinterpreting it for a modern audience.

Working alongside renowned perfumer Nathalie Lorson, the revived Maison Violet creates fragrances that echo the elegance of another era while feeling contemporary and expressive. Today, the house stands as a bridge between centuries—where heritage, artistry, and emotion meet in every bottle.
