“Mismar is the North Star, recognized since ancient times by explorers as a reference point for orientation. I wanted to emphasize a fresh and lively accord of ginger and juniper berries, thus paying homage to the metallic aspect of geographic north. The North Star is, in fact, a multiple star system; that's why I used contrasting notes to represent the various facets of the stars: an intriguing and animalic ambergris, a resinous incense, and a woody cypress.”
