Sikelia

Founded in 2021 by Sicilian designer Salvo Scarpaci, Sikelia was born from his desire to unite fragrance with the culture and artistic heritage of his homeland. The name itself comes from the ancient Greek word for Sicily, reflecting a house devoted to preserving the island's stories, legends, colors, and emotions through perfume. 

Sicilian mythology and landscape shape the collections. I Moti dell'Anima explores myths connected to sea, fire, and earth, while Cantami, o Diva ventures into the island's more theatrical legends through stories of love, jealousy, transformation, and adventure, including Medusa, Odysseus, and the legend behind Sicily's famous Moor's Head ceramics. Acque di Sicilia turns toward the island itself, interpreting destinations and ingredients through fragrances inspired by places such as Naxos, Ortigia, Mondello, Panarea, and Portopalo. 

Craftsmanship is equally important to the house. Sikelia's sculptural ceramic caps are shaped and hand-painted by artisans in Caltagirone, while tassels and packaging reference traditional Sicilian majolica. Rather than simply borrowing Sicily as a backdrop, Sikelia brings its perfumery together with the island's artisans, materials, mythology, and decorative traditions, creating fragrances that feel like small pieces of Sicily carried beyond its shores.
