Premiere Peau

Founded in Paris by Pierre Mergui, Première Peau grew from a desire to create perfume without chasing trends, market briefs, or endless launches. The house sees each perfumer as an author, choosing collaborators for their individual point of view and allowing their personalities, obsessions, and emotions to remain visible in the finished fragrance.

The collection brings together four perfumers: Claire Liégent, Grégoire Balleydier, Ugo Charron, and Florian Gallo, with seven fragrances spanning very different olfactory signatures. The perfumes are composed in Paris as 20%+ Extraits de Parfum, with formulas given extended time to macerate rather than being rushed through production.

Craftsmanship extends to the presentation. Première Peau works with French artisans to create its distinctive hand-blown borosilicate glass bottles, and production and bottling take place in France. At its heart, the house is less interested in building perfume around a polished fantasy of old Paris and more interested in modern creative Paris, where different artists, cultures, disciplines, and ideas collide. The result is perfumery that feels contemporary, personal, and deliberately centered on the people who actually create it.
