Devertere

Founded in Italy by Lorenzo and Federico Cavoretto, Devertere was born from two generations approaching fragrance from very different perspectives. Lorenzo brings years of experience in the perfume industry and a deep understanding of formulation, raw materials, and balance, while Federico, a marketing graduate influenced by art, design, and visual culture, brings the conceptual and contemporary vision of the house.

The name Devertere comes from Latin and means to turn aside, deviate, or change direction, while also carrying a sense of diversion and play. That philosophy shapes the brand's approach to fragrance: leaving the expected path behind in favor of something freer, more provocative, and more emotionally expressive.

Rather than relying on a single house perfumer, Devertere works with perfumers including Sofia Bardelli and Vincent Ricord, with Bertrand Duchaufour also among its collaborators. The creative world extends beyond formulation as well, with Italian author Simone Tempia writing the poetic texts that accompany the fragrances. The result is a house where perfume, storytelling, design, and unconventional ideas come together as different parts of the same experience.
