Max Foucat

Designer Max Foucaut brings an unusually personal perspective to fragrance, shaped by three places that defined his creative identity. Born in Paris, raised in Southern California, and trained in London at Central Saint Martins while learning traditional tailoring from a Savile Row mentor, Foucaut developed a design language that moves between French heritage, California ease, and precise British craftsmanship.

His debut fragrance collection, OMBRE, launched in 2024 and extends that same philosophy into perfume. Each of its three genderless fragrances connects a city with a fabric and a personal memory: Ombre Vivante evokes London and tweed, Ombre Solaire captures Los Angeles through denim and the Pacific coast, and Ombre Nocturne interprets Paris through silk, rain-soaked streets, tobacco, woods, and nighttime romance. The fragrances are developed in Grasse, linking Foucaut's contemporary vision to the traditions of French perfumery.

At its core, Max Foucaut Parfums sits at the intersection of fashion, fragrance, travel, and memory. Fabric becomes a sensory reference point, cities become olfactory landscapes, and perfume becomes another way for Foucaut to tell the same multicultural story found in his clothing. It feels less like fragrance added onto a fashion label and more like another material in the designer's studio, which is what makes the concept so interesting.
