Hermetica

Founded in Paris in 2018 by Clara and John Molloy, Hermetica was born from their desire to rethink how perfume interacts with both the wearer and the environment. After creating Memo Paris, the couple pursued a radically different idea: an alcohol-free fragrance collection that could combine the emotional experience of fine perfume with the sensorial benefits of skincare. The name Hermetica pays tribute to the ancient Hermetica texts and their ideas surrounding transformation and alchemy.

At the heart of every Hermetica fragrance is Source¹, the house’s original composition of bergamot essence, woody musk, and amber. Source¹ can be worn alone, but it also serves as the foundational accord running through the collection. The fragrances use a patented alcohol-free base featuring green molecules derived from responsibly sourced sugarcane residue, allowing the formula to moisturize the skin while carrying fragrance.

Hermetica describes wearing its fragrances as an “olfactive dance” between perfume and skin. Ingredients from nature and modern fragrance science come together in colorful compositions like Jade888, Verticaloud, Amberbee, and Figfever. At its core, the house offers a contemporary take on French perfumery where scent, skincare, innovation, and environmental consideration exist in the same bottle.
