Fabbrica Della Musa

Founded by Barbara Adelmann together with her husband, perfumer Hamid Merati-Kashani, Fabbrica della Musa was created from their shared passion for fragrance, craftsmanship, art, and travel. Barbara draws inspiration from architecture, history, design, and cultures around the world, shaping the visual and creative identity of the house while Hamid translates those ideas into scent.

Hamid brings decades of experience to the collection and currently works as a Principal Perfumer at dsm-firmenich in Dubai. Born in Germany to an Iranian father and German mother and raised partly in Isfahan, Iran, his childhood memories include the rose fields and rich aromas of the region. Those influences give the house an interesting balance between the brightness of Italy and the deeper, more enveloping olfactory traditions of the East.

The collections are conceived as a library of olfactory memories. The Classic Collection celebrates La Dolce Vita through Italian destinations, while the Exclusive Collection looks outward to people, landscapes, and cultures around the world. More recently, the Art Edition explores fragrance at the intersection of perfume, art, and culture. Across them all, Fabbrica della Musa treats perfume as a way of preserving the places and experiences that inspire us.
