Ki-oku

Born in Los Angeles, KI-OKU takes its name from the Japanese word kioku (記憶), meaning memory. The house was founded on the belief that fragrance is more than a finishing touch; it is an extension of identity, capable of capturing a particular chapter of life and preserving the emotions associated with it. Rather than searching for one signature scent to wear forever, KI-OKU encourages fragrance lovers to build a personal scent wardrobe that changes as they do.

The brand was created with the intention of making distinctive, high-quality perfumery more accessible without sacrificing individuality or craftsmanship. Its fragrances are developed in collaboration with perfumer Oliwia do Nascimento, whose compositions explore everything from comforting gourmands and delicate florals to fresh, atmospheric, and deeply personal scents. Creations such as Afterglow, Origami, Soft Launch, and Waves & Whispers reflect the different moods, memories, and personalities that make each person's fragrance journey unique.

Each fragrance is presented as a 30% extrait de parfum, with an emphasis on expressive compositions, longevity, and personal connection. The house also embraces vegan and cruelty-free formulations and a thoughtful approach to ingredient sourcing and packaging.
