Filippo Sorcinelli

Where fragrance becomes art, ritual, and emotion.

Filippo Sorcinelli is an Italian artistic fragrance house where perfumery intersects with music, sacred art, photography, fashion, and design

Created by multidisciplinary artist Filippo Sorcinelli, the house explores spirituality, beauty, darkness, freedom, and deeply personal emotion through fragrances that feel as much like works of art as they do perfume.

Filippo Sorcinelli is an Italian artist, designer, musician, photographer, and fragrance creator whose work has always moved freely between artistic disciplines. Music was his earliest passion, particularly the organ, an instrument he describes as central to his creative life. In 2001, he founded LAVS, an atelier dedicated to the design and creation of sacred vestments and liturgical objects. The atelier became internationally recognized and has created vestments for Pope Benedict XVI as well as pieces associated with the beginning of Pope Francis's pontificate.
Fragrance became another language for Sorcinelli in 2014, when he created LAVS, the first perfume in what would become the UNUM collection. Inspired by the aromas of his sacred vestment atelier, the fragrance established many of the themes that continue throughout his work: incense, spirituality, Gothic art, music, architecture, darkness, introspection, and the tension between the sacred and the deeply human.
Today, Filippo Sorcinelli extends far beyond a traditional perfume house, encompassing collections such as UNUM, Memento, Atmosphere d'Emotion, Superfluo?, X SÉ, Extrait de Musique, and Délire de Voyage. His fragrances often begin with intensely personal ideas, from music and religious imagery to fear, freedom, memory, desire, and even fog. The result is a body of work that refuses to separate fragrance from the other arts, using scent as another medium through which Sorcinelli pursues beauty, emotion, and self-expression.
